“A space to listen differently
to what moves you.”

Individual Psychoanalytic Therapy and Counselling in Sydney
There are moments when speaking becomes necessary, even if you are not sure why yet.
Sometimes what brings someone to therapy is not a problem to be solved, but a sense that something is repeating, unsettled, unresolved, or quietly asking for attention. At the Underthought Psychoanalysis Practice, you do not need to know what to say in advance, nor to have clarity about where to begin. Here, therapy offers a place to speak and to be heard, without pressure, diagnosis, or haste.
Through counselling and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, we attend closely to what emerges in speech: the pauses, the patterns, the meanings that shape how you live, desire, and relate to others. From this careful listening, new ways of understanding yourself and new possibilities for living can begin to take form, in their own time.
If you wish, you can continue below to learn more about how this work unfolds.
This work may be helpful if you find yourself…
- Sensing that something in your life keeps repeating, even when you try to change it
- Feeling unsettled, conflicted, or unsure how to put your experience into words
- Wanting a space to speak freely, without being directed toward quick solutions
- Curious about understanding yourself beyond symptoms or labels

“A space shaped by care, respect, and attentiveness”
This practice offers a considered and inclusive space where individuals can speak freely, without fear of judgement or pressure to conform. Guided by empathy, respect, and attention to difference, the work is grounded in listening to what is said, and to what may be difficult to say.
The aim is not to impose answers, but to support a process of understanding that honours each person’s singular experience and allows change to emerge at its own pace.

An Invitation to Begin Therapy
