This practice offers a space where
speaking and listening can unfold.

You may be seeking a space to speak if:
- Something in life keeps repeating without becoming clear.
- Anxiety, conflict, or dissatisfaction persists despite efforts to resolve it.
- You are searching for a different way to understand what feels stuck.
Many people reach out unsure of what to say or whether therapy is right for them. That uncertainty is a perfectly acceptable place to begin.
Your first 50-minute meeting is offered free of charge.
Sessions are available in person or online. No referral is required, and after the first meeting, you are free to decide whether you would like to continue.
Psychoanalysis Sydney
Psychoanalytic therapy in Sydney offers a space where speaking can bring into words experiences that have remained difficult to understand.
You do not need to know where to begin or have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Sessions unfold at your pace in a respectful, confidential, and ethically grounded setting.
Our conversations begin with whatever brings you to sessions. As we speak together, experiences that have remained difficult to put into words may gradually become clearer. Over time, new ways of responding to what once felt fixed or inevitable may become possible.
Professional Background & Registration
Fernando Rocha, PACFA Reg. Certified Practicing, M.A.C.A (Level 2)
For those who wish to know more about my training and professional standing
I am a psychoanalytic therapist and counsellor based in Sydney. I am also a PACFA Registered Certified Practising and ACA Level 2 member. My work is grounded in over twenty years of sustained study in psychoanalysis, alongside many years of personal analysis and ongoing professional formation.
I have spent over twenty years studying psychoanalysis because I remain interested in how each person’s suffering takes shape in a unique way, and how it can change through psychoanalytic therapy. My work is not based on giving advice or techniques, but on creating a space where something new can emerge through speech.
Begin with a First Meeting
